Gear swap on 2010 newer question.

I saw this information on another forum but was hoping someone here could confirm for me?

Starting in 2010, 1/2 ton Silverado's will only take up to a 3:42 without needing a new carrier. They changed the deck height on the carrier and it now requires an new carrier for anything above 3:42. The other issue is that the rear pinion carrier has changed a bit. The ID on the pinion bearings are the same, but both outer races are much bigger on mine than on the older models. They are super proud of the bearings to the tune of about $150 for the pair.

That I know of for sure the pinion bearings are
Different 09 and up and run $80 for the set.
As far as case break I'm not completely
Sure I just recently did a gear swap and installed
A true trac, and didnt see that to be an issue And the pinion bearings didn't match
The kit. I had to by them seprately.
I've only done 1 as far as that new model.
