Thread: the turbo 5.3 died

    The only other thing I can think of is I know Jansen you mentioned
    I removed my oil level sensor in the pan and routed my return line into it. No issues here.
    I dont know where that sensor is at but if its oil level I would think its possible you had a drainage problem since its trying to push against fluid?

    I have seen it mentioned that high oil pressure can blow the seals on this turbo.

    Kinda hope it is the turbo, 4 bolts and its out. I've had a few turbos apart and they're pretty simple. I think I would try rebuilding one if that's what the prob is.

    I've never had any oiling issues yet.... this may be the first. If this rain will slack off I'm gonna start tearing stuff apart
