I just came across this so I would like to start by saying I am sorry for taking so long to respond. I own Thompson Motorsports and would really like more info on the 2 motors that have turned out badly. It seems strange that there would be any motor anywhere that would have a problem when we have never had a warranty returned that we did not cover. We take huge pride in our quality and customer service. We build and sell several hundred motors a year and in the last 12 months have had 5 come back all of which we covered under warranty dispite the consumer admitting fault. I would like to say that this thread does not well represent TMS and a quick Google search will agree that we have happy customers all over.
We have also NEVER had an employee leave because they do not agree with how we do things. This is another claim that I am interested in knowing more about.
Anyone who is interested in our product I would ask to please call or email and we will do our best to serve you with the respect that all customers deserve. Also please check our refrences on other threads, eBay,Google ect. I am sure that anyone will find that we are a great company that truly cares about their customers.

Actually I believe I do know who it was. There is a local guy who had a lifter spin in the bore when the motor was out of warranty. We covered the motor/labor EVERYTHING. It really was a bad thing to have happen for him and I felt really bad about it. We stood behind it and replaced it. I got a call from him about 2 years after the motor was done and to the best of my knowledge (we never looked at the truck so I don't know for sure) he had hit something in the road and broken the oil pan. I was un aware of any motor issues only of damage. We are not a repair facility and we never saw the truck or heard from him again. I wish he had called back and let us know he was un happy. We would have been more than happy to help him out. I am not sure what he expected being over 1 year out of warranty (by memory) and without letting us know that there was a problem.
We take pride in our work and reputation. I don't know what you have seen in a negative manner about us on ls1tech but would like to see that as well. It looks like there is a lot of negativity being given from individuals who might not have any direct contact, and from people who definitely don't know the whole story. I am not pointing fingers and do not mean any dis respect to anyone but would hope that if someone is so willing to bash anyone that they would be very well educated on the matter.
TMS has donated time and motors to 2 schools, Helped start a performance program at a local Junior College and takes every opportunity to make everyone happy that is possible. It is impossible to keep everyone happy but the general census is typically that we are helpful and professional about everything we do. I normally don't like to partake in threads like this because no matter who you are there are no winners, I am simply attempting to defend our name. I understand that when you know little about an engine builder it is easy to take a side when your only input is 1 person. Please take the time to talk to the hundreds of people who post on other forums, ebay, ect. and I believe you will see that you have been mis informed. I also welcome you to come to the shop at any time so we can show you what we do and what we are about, Basically I would really appreciate the opportunity to change your opinion of TMS. Thank you,
    Kyle
