Thread: corvette servo stuck inside transmission :(

    also before i could move the servo in and out with a pry bar and now its stiff i can pull the pin out a little bit with a pair of pliers but when i push it back in it doesnt push its self out at all has anyone experienced this when installing a servo??

    Sounds like u pinched the seals and rings and its wedged. When u get it out u need to take some scotch brite or fine emery cloth and clean the bore real well then apply light tough of grease to the new rings and seals when u
    Put servo back in. Also make sure the spring is in the right spot

    i think thats it what kind of grease is safe to use on transmission internals? thanks for all your help LQ9_Z71!!

    ok the servo is back out one of the teflon seals in fact blew out so it looks like i have some down time until i can get my hands on the seal kit i need no parts store in town had them

    Anytime. Plain old vasaline works good if in a pinch lol. I use kimbils spray on trans grease. It come out in a solvent liquid dries as a super slick grease. Were u live mite b able send u some like red said

    thanks guys im new here ill do that. and the servo is in and working great!! i wish i would have done it sooner!
