I keep a small crescent set under the seat. Never know when someone you know that doesn't own a Chevy will break down.

I used to carry a jack and large ratchet set. Now that I removed the spare and don't carry one I have taken all of the tools out. I do have towing with my discover card however so if I need a tow the first 150 miles are free. If I'm going that far I will usually take tools and anything else I may need with me in the bed.

I just keep a couple wrenches, and the factory jack.. I have a box that sits in the bed but it's to hold all my bs for college..
I keep everything in the bed. This time of year, tent, sleeping bag, cooler, water guns, change of clothes and shoes, case of water, tools, coolant, oil, tow strap (the truck does play in the mud), flashlight, tarp (makeshift slip and slide), power inverter.
In the winter, remove tent and water guns, add 200 pounds of sand, and heavy winter Carhartt's, gloves, etc.
