I had gone a different route and was going to install a 4l60E but i really want to keep the 5 speed.
I know i will need a flywheel from a 4.8l truck and i already have the throw out bearing and pilot bearing.
That should be it correct?
You know i still have to find the throw out bearing and pilot bearing
I hope i dont have to buy them again.

keep the stick, unless u really wanted to change, i used my lightweight ls1 flywheel
You can use any lsx flywhee that is the same diameter as the clutch u r using, i have the slock throw-out, and using a roller bearing for the 4.8l, but on selecting the disc make sure its a 10-spline for ur trans input shaft to matchOriginally Posted by 99kon

Ill get on this ASAP, plans for the weekend will be to remove the motor and clean up the engine bay again. Bolt up the trans to the motor and drop in the truck again.
