Yep NV3500 which was behind the 4.3 for 155,000 miles, obviously on borrowed time, holding up good so far! T56 with 4:88's will take it's place when it grenades... no way in hell i'm going auto...

'no way in hell i'm going auto'- im the same way!!
any noises? I got one in mine behind a 5.3, i have changed from stock fluid, to royal purple, amsoil, and now im on redline. so far the redline has made it quiet and easier to shift. Curious to know which trans oil ur using? Also still have 3.23 gears?

I just have Syncromech in it, just changed it. No noises at all, my truck came with 3:42's from the factory.
