The axle flip would have compressed the shocks to much and the left side would have got in the way of the exhaust. I guess I could have went with shorter shocks but I like the idea of using stock length.

Where did you get the 14 bolt disc brake conversion kit? I can only find them for the 8 lug full float and not the 6 lug semi float rear.
Did you have the drive shaft custom built?

    Frame looks great.
I built the exhaust myself and the V-bands I found on ebay. I still havent finished the brakes, I just have to find calipers and brackets then make my own spacers. The kits are out there I've seen a few but most of them use 80's model 4x4 front brakes. I had to have a shorter driveshaft and also have a 1350 u-joint for the rearend and a 1330 for the front, it was built by shaftmasters, best price I found and the quality is nice.

Did you make the shock mounts (tabs) yourself or buy them pre made?
I need to do this to mine. It's so low not even shock extenders help.

I bought the tabs. The axle tabs are 3.5" and came from suicidedoors.com, I can't remember where I bought the others but they're made to slip over 1.5" tube.

Well I haven't been keeping this up to date but haven't really made much progress. Got the fenders primered and hung, got the PCM tuned, put in the dash and column, had the spacers made for the front so the wheels aren't sucked in and now I can snap in the center caps. Also started the truck but there was a bad vacuum leak and a few bad connections in the harness that I'm tracking down now.

Here's a shot of the spacers and longer studs as well as the one ton calipers.

As you can see the hub no longer protrudes through the wheel.

I'm pretty happy with how it sits. Should be a bit lower once the springs get broke in.

I've just been working on getting it started, reworking the go pedal, and bolting up some underhood items. Here's a few random pics I took.

The Novac A/C bracket and new compressor, the compressor is in a slightly different location so I still have to have custom lines made.

Routing of the steam pipe/coolant crossover or whatever you want to call it. I didn't want to tap the pump at first but it looks cleaner than another hose running to the radiator.
Intake and wiring on. The intake is only temporary, I plan to build a filter box on the passenger side where the battery use to be.
