Hi. I may be interested. Do you know what the compression ratio would be on a stock 2000 5.3 bottom end?
Thx bj

since the 5.3L (62cc) has a smaller combustion chmaber than the 5.7L (67cc)
the compression would be lower.
going from 9.5:1 with a 62cc chambered head would make the 5.3L a 8.99:1
now take some cometic .04" head gaskets and thall boost it back up to a
9.8:1 with better flow and bigger valves.
stock 5.3L
(Lift) - Int./Ex.(cfm's)
.100 - 63/54
.200 - 128/93
.300 - 179/121
.400 - 210/163
.500 - 221/168
.600 - 226/174

compared to sleepers
(Lift) - Int./Ex.(cfm's)
.100 - 99/90
.200 - 162/126
.300 - 225/159
.400 - 267/183
.500 - 276/201
.600 - 285/210

a whole lotta good with a LS6 camshaft, moderate exhaust and some good
custom tuning.
