    Oil temp gauge?

What would be a good place to place an oil temp probe in my LS? looks like a plate above oil filter can be drilled and tapped for one.

Most sports require one ball, motocross requires two.

Hmm havnt ever looked for a place. There's no plug in block nowhere. Or drill and tap into pan somewhere? I'd feel safer drilling into pan instead of block

I wouldnt be drilling into block, it is a removable block off plate. I think pan might be where ill go.

Use the plate above the oil filter, its already drilled half way. All you got to do is drill the hole on through and tap 1/8 npt.

Just find a drill bit that is the same size as the the hole that is already there because its really close to the correct tap drill size for the 1/8 npt. Just be careful tapping the alum with the really fine pipe thread because it will rip the threads out. The trick to it is using some type of cutting oil for lube and backing the tap out about a half a turn for every full turn you make. Good luck.
