Have a safe trip bud! Just got back from a roadtrip myself a few weeks ago, went down to Myrtle Beach, SC. Was about 17 hours straight through, we stopped half way, my girlfriends little car isn't too friendly on my 6'4" frame. Told her next year we're taking the truck!

Yes I must say the cops are VERY strict in the States! When I go into the States I don't go more than 5mph over unless traffic is cruising faster. Up here we get away with a lot more. Speed limit is 100km/h (62mph) on the freeway and I usually travel between 120 and 130km/h or 75-80mph and don't even kick the cruise off when I see a cop with the radar gun. Went by one at 85mph once and never saw him. Looked over and the radar gun was right on me, didn't pull me over.

What's with you guys stopping during road trips? San Antonio TX -> Shelburne Ontario. 25 hours with a stop to change tires. I find them a lot easier if you don't stop.

This is true, also crashed at a hotel on the way down too (mostly because we were way ahead of sched). But Justin and I were swapping driving duty every time we gassed up, and for whatever reason that was a lot tougher than me going straight through on the way home. That could have been "get home-itis" too though. I'm not sure.

When your girlfriend has a bad back and has to piss every 20 minutes it's a different story. If I had my choice I would have drove straight through too. Drove 14 hours straight between here an Ashland, Wisconsin a couple times.
