Finally received the paperwork on the heads/cam that the p/o had for this engine. I have to find replacement rockers due the the p/o using them in his new build. Any suggestions / opinions on what to get equal to or improvement upon what patriot had in with this setup.

And ill honestly say that im not too sharp on the camshaft technical aspect. im reading up as time allows to better my understanding and comparing to what i see you guys have already. But i can tell you what i expect from it if anyone wants to chime in suggestions.

    DD for the time being,
    pull a boat,
    play offroad sometimes
    likely wont exceed 35" tires
    14b w/ 4.56's
    stall... im still learning.
and of course a lumpy idle as i spend just as much time sitting at stop lights as i do physically driving on my 15 mile ride to work.

oem rockers from a 5.3 and valve covers,
    a driver side battery tray
    Computer
    and some other items.
    for a whopping $65

eyeballin a 14b from a k2500 diesel i saw there. maybe grab that this weekend. anyone know what gears those come with. there was no glovebox to check the sticker. nor a sticker on the door. for the year.

I pulled the harness from the parts tahoe today. I may take a stab at figuring out the wiring as this project is not one that will progress quickly so ill have time. If it doesnt pan out. ive wasted $22 on worse things, and just go with nelson when i have the cash.

This weeks agenda is to hopefully pull a 4l80e and tcase from a 1992 suburban at the yard. Engine is already out so once i get it propped up it shouldnt take too long. That is if a 1992 model 4l80e will work for my purposes.
