Thread: 50-100hp Duramax tune?

    good rule of thumb on a dmax is no more than 100hp over stock for the allison. Higher hp tunes yield better gas mileage as well. Ran mine pretty hard for two yrs and never put it in limp mode.

    From what I understand much like the gas trucks a custom tune is the way to go. Even offers a multi tune option similar to the programmers.

    Yup same here, I'm waiting for the weather to clear up so I can install the Transgo jr and deep pan. Then ima try the big tune.

    I was looking for a tune file. I know alot of guys who run hypertechs on 90 and never had one problem and they beat on them all the time

    Yeah no nodding, do your self a favor, efi from Idaho rob so you don't end up with a blown up trans and trying to tow a racetruck somewhere. Btw unless you have a 6 speed a trans go Jr wont do anything. Anywho don't play around to much unless you have 5k to blow

    Well i've found a tow/economy tune from some guy out in California that is supposed to be good. I had to download efi live to open and change my file to match his. The 120hp programmer i originally went by had alot of fuel down low.. this guys didn't hardly add much. So I guess i'm going to go reflash his truck before he kills something. haha. He's an older man so I don't think he beats on it too much.
