So if there is no olympic version of something it's not a sport? Guess that means football isn't a sport right? Oh dot forget about soccer either...

The UFC has been around for a little less than 20 years by the way. First UFC fight was in 1993.

i dont see how anyone can say that ufc is not a sport or a fad. i'm not a HUGE fan nor am i any kind of trained fighter, but i do notice that professional UFC fighters are probably the most athletic compeditors of ANY sport. in most cases they are also more humble/respectable. as for it being a fad, it seems awefully close to what the romans did...how many years ago? UFC and MMA has tightened up on the rules to they can get airtime on television due to hippies. wasnt kung-fu or karati a part of the last olympic program? it's a step in the right direction. golf on the other hand...NOT a sport haha.

UFC is a lot more than just knuckle heads fighting it out. It takes a lot of thinking to get thru a round.
Some of those guys can tie others up so fast, they won't know what happened! So, it's up to the challenger to be constantly thinking, of not only the current situation, but three moves after that one has failed.

I ain't saying I'm any expert by any means, but I can say from experience that it's probably one of the most demanding sports, physically and mentally, that I've every competed in!

I used to play HS golf and I work at a golf course (yet I don't play anymore )

But I couldn't agree with this statement anymore. Golf is just a game, not a sport.
