The only big advantage that I see is the multicore processor and the 4G otherwise they aren't incredibly different. I am thinking the Ipad2 16GB will fulfill my needs. I am going to get the refurbed unit most likely. The apple site claims that it gets a new battery and case along with any other under performing parts +1 year warranty. That is good enough for me. I was really hoping for waterproofing of some kind on this new model. Similar to the Razr and other phones that now have this feature. I wasn't expecting too too much with this update though.

for what is worth, some tech told me new Ipad have a dual core A5x cpu and and a quad core GPU.

If your work is related to Apple apps, the by all means go for any Ipad, but if your looking for a tablet to hold info, maybe a Asus Transformer Infinity can be useful to you.

Take a look at the specs, you might be surprise. Lighter too.

Believe me if I didn't HAVE to have an Ipad for work. I would no doubt be using that exact tablet or maybe a Note 10.1. Unfortunately my job requires me to use the Ipad. Maybe soon that will change and I can give the Ipad to my wife and pick up the next great Android Tablet.
