    Upgrading Lifters...

ok so i have my motor sounding like a Diesel at idle...i need some badass lifters that will handle high rpms..i have been looking at the Morel hydraulic lifters but does anyone know if they would require different pushrod size?
also heard about the ls7 and ls9 lifters?anyone run them, would hate to put them since there oem and they go out again.

so you 700hp+guys what are you running?

If I remember correctly the NNBS trucks come with LS7 lifters from the factory. You will prolly want something a little better although I am sure plenty of guys doing junkyard builds are running the LS7's on high powered trucks. I know I will be tossing in LS7 lifters when I get around to a cam/motor swap this summer.

Use the caddie lifters. Designed by GM and factory rated for 8000rpm.

Ive seen 7600 rpms at 16psi with Ls7s. Youre motor should have Ls7s in them now and they are plenty for what you have.

what makes you think its a lifter
    2002 Lightning - GT headed 5.5Litre w/ Twin 7665s
    2002 Silverado - 427Lsx w/ Twin gt4202s
    2010 Silverado crewcab Z71 - 5.3litre w/ procharger
    2000 Wrangler - 5.3litre with some stance
    2014 Xsport- 3.5 Eco boost
    412 Motorsports

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

You should have LS7's already Zach. Caddies are the only thing nicer that's GM.

I have morel lifters in my lsx. Work well, but I do have much larger than stock push rods too. I run the caddy lifters mentioned earlier in all my other builds. U should have the ls7 style lifters now, or dod ones. If u have ls7s I bet the sound is not from the lifters... I've turned my ls7 style lifters to 7800 with no issue several times. As long as u don't have the dod lifters u should be ok, if u do. They suck, I trashed several sets of those before realizing they are trash.

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......

I really hope that is a lifter.

Doesn't sound like that to me.

Best case can be a Twisted/bended roller rocker.
