A shift kit is not to terribly difficult to install, although I have never done one on a 60E so I don't know if they are very different from the 200-R4 and TH350 that I have done. The servo however is fairly simple, just pop out the snap ring, pull everything out, then reinstall the new parts (make sure all your seals and o rings are facing the right way) and slide it back together, trans can even stay in the truck the entire time.
