To me wakeboarding was super natural. You just sit back like your in a chair, don't fight your way up like on a slalom ski. The board choice shouldn't matter for the first little while. Once you start cutting hard and jumping you will begin to have a preference on sizes shape and to me the most important thing is how it sits in the water. I like a board that sits deep and tracks all the way through the wake. Others will prefer a lighter feel that sits higher and releases off the water quicker. I would suggest picking up something that is inexpensive and about the right size then upgrading to something nicer down the road when you start to get a feel for what you like. It's pretty hard to pick a terrible board IMO. I love wakeboarding its a dang good time and a lot more chill than skiing for me. I have more recently transitioned into wakesurfing as my body appreciates it.![]()
