The voicecoil is going out on it. Soon it will stop working unless u press in on the woofer, and unless the max wattage was exceeded blasting the volume wont damage it. Its just lived its life and is starting to fail. Has happened to me many times before. Most subs will last a long time, but it happens.
Kicker responded to me stating that the coil is delaminating - coming unglued... They offered a trade-in of that fuzzy sub + $96 for a new one through their trade up program. Not sure what I'm going to do yet.

Yea you win! I thought that was cool of them but we've agreed to run the sub until it grenades and I'm giving him back some cash towards another. He wasn't mad when it wasn't working properly and knew I wasn't trying to screw him over after I tried to help so we're both happy with this.
