Did this work for you? Doesn't for me with an autometer minimonster in my 01 Silverado...

powers up, but no signal at all, not even a twitch.

Anyone ever hear of others having to do a “pullup resistor“ to get a stronger signal? Still wondering about detaios on this, more specifically what size/type of resistor to use, and also whether to use a 5v wire, or 12v???
    Anyone?

I've used pin 10 several times. Using it right now for my racepak and my shift lite. Just need to tell the instrument what kind of signal it's seeing

it worked just fine, no resistors or anything. If its not working it could be the computer cause my First one didn't work cause the local guy turned it off? Idk but when I got my new tune/computer from Nelson it worked just fine

there is no way for me to “tell my instrument“ anything except pulse, like how many cylinders, and I have it set on 4 cyl. Still no signal, or too weak of a signal...

huh, yeah, will not work for me here... tried two spots on the wire coming out of pin 10, and also tried from tach signal wire from cluster...

I've thought of trying that, but don't have a different one, nor any pare budget just to buuy a second tach at this point.
I've read about others on tech having similar issue to mine and having success with the pull up resistor so I wanted to try that first and was posting here just to see if by chance anyone on ths site had done it successfully... I'm not thee most knoowledgeable when it comes to electronics so figuring out what resistor I need exactly and on what pcm wire is something I'm looking for help on...
