I have decided to put a LQ4/9 into my 93 fullsize blazer and have a few questions. Will the new engine mount in the same spot as old so I dont have to move the 4l60e currently in truck as I have the column linkage and 4x4 shifter to worry about. Should I go with dbw or cable tb. When its all said and done will I need the TBI pcm to control anything. I havnt purchased anything yet so any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

welcome! the lq4 will mount in he same position if you use the dirty dingo mounts. they are adjustable so you can move the engine forward and backard. if you have the pedal and tac module for the lq4 then you can just get the peal midified and mount it. if not just switch it over to cable. just get a cable TB with the IAT and TPS. also you will have to add those pig tails to your harness. depends on what year engine you get. not too sure about the pre 95 pcm functions. but with my 96 i didnt need the old pcm. i removed the pins i needed and put them in the ls pcm.

Will the ls pcm controll my 4l60e Can I have the ls pcm recalibrated to work with my vss or do I have to take other measures
