    Fueling? 6.0l in 1980

I have a 1980 K10. mostly restored...Doing the lq4 swap.. It has two new fuel tanks and new selector valve for them... I have an inline walbro 255lph. will this be able to get enough fuel if i connect it on the engine side of the valve? or will i have to run 2 in tank pumps? i know the second option is better.. however.. will the selector valve handle the added pressures of EFI fuel pumps?

    thanks

that pump will be more than enough.

ok i know the pump is sufficient, sorry i am really asking if it will be able to suck enough fuel through the stock 1980 selector valve? i know pumps are better as pushers and not pullers.... thanks

Guess it works. I wouldn't have guessed it would suck well enough through the valve all the way to the tanks. I'm running two tanks, and putting two pumps per tank. The stock selector valve is not strong enough for that fuel pressure, but the aftermarket version is (up to 70 psi or something). Also, with two pumps, if one happens to fail, you do have another. Also, intake pumps are somewhat quieter.

I'm doing an LQ4 swap in my 86. Got rid of the second tank and also ran a 255 in line Walbro. What are you doing for a vent line?

do you have a return line? for vent i have in the past just put on rubber hose with a small inline fuel filter on the end.. keeps dirt and debris out but lets the tank vent... dont see why this wont work for ya...
