If GM wasn't ran by a bunch of greedy morons, they would have one, maybe two labels, instead of how ever many they have/had. I still see no reason for as many brands as there use to be...Make them all chevy's and cadillacs like fords and lincolns and be done with it. Then we wouldn't be without badass cars like the g8, they could afford to build and produce the el camino looking car. They could produce an affordable stylish wagon like the one pictured or like the cts-v wagon

Is there really a need for GMC? Sierra and Silverado..exactly the same
    Yukon and Tahoe...exactly the same
Denali and Escalade...close enough not to need two different brands
Trailblazer and whatever the gmc equivalent is...Same thing
    etc etc...
Dump the duplicates and build affordable badass cars under one brand

    Sorry for the rant

Im with you, I think we either need to start importing Holdens (wonder how hard it would be to open a dealership here) or somehow convince GM to start producing those, or similar vehicles in the US, because there is a definite market for them. The dealer couldn't believe me when I told him we had nothing like the ute back home.

I believe you can, not for sure though. I was looking at shipping costs last night and it would be around $2k to have it shipped over, so not terrible. Now I just have to find the $30 grand to get the truck itself. I would even leave it right hand drive once I got it here

The problem with getting vehicle's imported to the US is that they have to be able to pass all of our safety and emissions standards before hand.

Australia is EXTREMELY strict on that kind of stuff but I'm sure there's something that restricts the importation of Holdens since you never see them on the road around here.
