    so what are some options? locker? new rear end?
    2003 Silverado 2500HD, 2wd, 6.0, 4l80e. stock!

    1985 Monte Carlo SS. stock!

    1995 Camaro, LT1 bored .040" over, 10.9:1 cr, forged pistons, stock crank and rods, home ported heads, 2.00/1.56 valves, port matched intake, CC306 cam with 114 degree LSA, 1.6 RR's, double roller t/c, longtubes, 30# SVO injectors, 58mm BBK TB, NGK TR6's, MSD 8.5 wires, 255 walbro, tuned by Solomon. T56 w/ 3.73 gears.

    Decent posi differential and losing the A/T tires would be a good start.

    Either find a g80/or whatever goes in an hd, that someone is selling, or get a true trac.

    well i checked it out today, (on a gravel road) and its an open rear end for sure. that explains the lack of traction i guess. i did some searching and it seems like most guys that go with the truetrac are pretty happy. as far as cost goes it is almost the same to upgrade the diff than to buy a used lsd. this mod is going to have to happen right away with winter approaching. a 1wd truck is about as useful as tits on a bull...

    how can i tell if i have a floating or semi-floating axle?
