    Lsx 1990 silverado engine swap

I'm new to the forum and mechanics. Catch on pretty quick and don't mind working. Have 1990 Silverado and would like to swap in an LSX engine. This site is said to be the best place to come. Have purchased basic tools and learning as I go. Need to know everything a swap entails and greatly appreciate any and all information and am willing to return the favor. As it stands now, the wiring harness seems the most confusing. Any advice or suggested reading would be a big help. This stuff is more than turning bolts and grease. I think I love it! Thank you all in advance.

welcome to the site. i was the same way you were my friend. this site has filled me with so much knowledge on this swap and ls engines in general. wiring harness could definitely be the most confusing part of the build but it doesnt have to be. if your lsx engine comes with the harness you can send it out to be re worked and pretty much makes it a plug and play system. or you can actually order a new one designed to your specs. nelson performance is probably the best place for this. not the cheapest by far but i from what ive heard they are the best. if you plan on tackling the harness yourself. lt1swap.com is a good start. everything else is pretty much just adapters and bolts. read over the obs to lsx swap a few times. it will give you a good idea of how much work you have to do. also feel free to check my swap out im in the last leg and getting everything buttoned up now!
    good luck!
