Welp, since this old thread is coming back to life...

I was cruising back to the house one afternoon and this guy in an F-body was messing around with me in my 02 silverado. I ended up passing the exit for my house and followed him for awhile. Since no one was around I slowed to a 30 roll because honestly those are the most fun. We took off and I was a car behind him all the way to 120. We waved and went about our ways.

2 weeks later i'm at a local meet and the guy comes up to me asking WTF I had done to the truck and that his car had a few mods and never expected a truck to be that close! hahaha the guy was super cool about it and ended up buying an NX kit that weekend so it didn't happen again.

Situations like that just make it so worth it for us truck guys.

My new line though when everyone asks me about lowering, modding, etc. is "Because RaceTruck" it's hilarious when you tell people that.
A truck is just me. I've tried other vehicles, none get the respect that a truck does.

People always ask why I'm making a truck "fast". Then they ask if it has a 350. I tell them bacause I want to haul stuff and go fast. They still don't get it....

I hate the how fast is it, cus those guys dont understand a 1/4 mile time, I used to just say the speedo says 120, thank god I took it up to 152 so now I just say well ive had it to... Cus when you say well idk the top speed but itll do 114 in the 1/4 they just think well 114 isnt that fast

Hate that. I just say say "The speedometer needle stops at 200, guess it only does 200" Or I guess 120 to everyone else reading this.
