yea man i was real happy to finally get it off the ground and in the engine bay. but stupid mounts didnt line up and the engine is too far forward. should have got the dirty dingo mounts at first. thats what i get for being cheap.
but i test fit my harness and all the plugs are there. only one outstanding was low coolant plug so i gotta see why that stlll there. i test fit the headers and they fit great. when i get some money ill get the pcm starter intake and pedal and start her right up hopefully.

Had to put this project on hold a few days because a friend of mine needs help removing the engine out of his crashed z28 camaro. actually it might work out for me because i might score a 2wd trans. but i was able to start putting the engine together now its dropped in. also im still working on the harness.
couple shots of the intake and stiff back on the engine. ( i realized after i was done that the fuel rails were on backwards...blame it on the 4 coronas)
.
mocked up the wiring before i insulated it to make sure im not missing any plugs. it was dark sorry
got the stuff in the mail to finish up the harness. fuse block ob2 port and relays and all the connectors. so hopefully ill get the harness finished this weekend. its freaking tedious i gotta be in the mood to tackle that thing. no rush luckily because i still need to order my starter and cpu finished the fuel lines etc.
i also got to keep the electric fans from my buddies lt1 camaro so looks like ill be fighting with that clutch fan after all.
also just found some pics the old lady took when i pulled the trans and reinstalled the cpu.

what mounts did you use that didn't line up?
do they only have 1 hole? i was going to get the DD mounts but bought a set with 3 sets of holes, 1" forward, center, & 1" back.
i guess i'll soon figure out which hole i need, LOL!!!!
they were some ebay mounts for $30 bucks. i shoulda known! im going to order these http://dirtydingo.com/store/product_...oducts_id=1367

To get the clutch fan off, go ahead and mount all the accessories including water pump. Put the belt on and it will hold the pulley in place. Either use an air chisel to shock the nut or put a wrench on it and shock it with a hammer. Usually come off pretty easy then.

thanks! yea i like under the hood to look somewhat decent. i plan on ordering a new master cylinder and coolant tank as well. i think it just makes the whole thing come together really nice when you pop the hood and theres a new motor in there all cleaned up and the engine bay matches. plus i had to do something with all the downtime.
