Generally that's part of what makes me like them so much. I grew up with lever actions, but it seems like fewer and fewer people use them these day. I also have a sweet pump action .22 that is too much fun to describe. I like the stuff that is a little more outside the box.

Finger straight and off the trigger until ready to fire, squeeze the trigger between exhale and inhale

My dad has been a gunsmith/ machinist/ competitive shooter for 30 years. Lambo is right about the breathing. Don't snatch the trigger slowly squeeze it. Also helps to wear a bunch of thick clothing, cuts back on movement when trying to hold steady. Also you may be flinching when you shoot. I never knew I was flinching till I was shooting one day and my dad put a dummy round in the gun and as soon as I pulled the trigger I flinched and the gun only clicked ha ha. Also don't shoot cheap ammunition if your wanting accuracy. Hope this helps.

The only gun I have is a 12 ga. 870 Magnum Express. My dad told me he wanted to buy me a pistol for Christmas...what are your guys thoughts on an XD Service 9MM? It won't be one to CC just something to shoot targets with and to throw in my truck for road trips.
