Of the 15 urban states Texas ranks the lowest in per capita state tax revenue, per capita spending, and state governmental expenditures. Now MS isn't one of the 15 urban states but I forget the exact reason the that saying in Austin is around which is kind of a bad thing considering I have a test over things of that nature come Monday.

Texas appears to be doing well now but the state legislators have been kicking the can (debt) down the road and sooner or later it's going to catch up and I really don't want to be here for it but alot of other states are in the same predicament.

So I bid farewell guys...I am going to Australia

Sarcasm mang, with my major I'll be staying near ports all my life and most major ports are in urban states so no matter what I'll be around some sort of debt.

Although I would not mind living in Australia for some time and making bank!

That would be a challenge. Everything is about 5x more expensive there. Beautiful country though. It would be an amazing place to live for sure.

I wish $12 an hour was enough here. Min wage is $11. Anything under $18 and you're likely below the poverty line. I gotta move south.
