My Webpage

Well after getting the new cam in and some minor tunning. RAF, VE and timing I decided to get some base numbers. I guessed it would be in the mid- high 200's and it was but...

    Peak HP 266

    Peak TQ 285

I was trying to dial in the A/F but I had to get back to work and ran out of time. I'll get some new numers after my wideband gets in and more tunning. I guess its not to bad for just Cam/Headers and a tune. I never had a chance to Dyno the Z06 cam but this pulls like a mofo compaired to the Z06 cam...

Not trying to be mean, but that seams a little low. I figured a 5.3 with cam would be at least 300+ at the wheels. I'm sure when you get some more tuning you will pick up a bit of HP.

I was wondering the same. I make 300+ without a cam (but one is going in right now) and was wondering which cam you went with?

TR220/220 558/558 112 lsa... This was a base run before major tunning. I just installed the cam sunday... But yea I was hoping for alittle more. Im still running most of my Z06 tune, I pretty much need a whole retune after the cam swap. The guy running the dyno said he had a super charged F150 yesterday and I had more HP than him so it kinda mad me feel alittle better, but yea it sucks...lol

Not sure if anyone knows... But I had to lock it in 3rd with the VCM scanner because it keept down shifting. Im not sure how it locks it in 3rd but I wonder if this could cause the poor numbers?

I dont know anything much about tuning or dynometers but i'd bet you'd make better #'s with the propper tuning. I would think with the right bolt-ons you should be doing well over 300hp/tq.

I'm putting in a 224/224 114lsa with .578" lift right now, my CR is 9.9:1 so i should see a good improvement with this and my TT3000 stall.

seems alot low for a 220. do you have the supporting bolt-ons? are you sure the lift is .558? i'm running the tr220/112 and the lift is .551. give nelson performance a call, they'll be able to wake that cam up. see #'s in my sig...

With the 1.7 ratio rockers its .558

Hell it might just be there dyno. It was done at the import tuner shop lol. My friend had his Maxima done there and he only did 140RWHP witch is low also. Anyways im junking the tune, starting from scratch and a different dyno will be used next time.
