As far as reliability goes, I dunno, its only got a couple hundred miles on it since the engine swap but nothings come up yet. It'd have A/C if I had a compressor and lines for it. But I'm broke.

I daily drove mine for a while a few years ago. Was a 402, t400, big shot. Then as the need to be faster and truck setting between builds it became a toy. Been a toy for a while now. Drive a nnbs daily now with basic bolt ons. Its fun to have a toy that's all hopped up but also nice to get in something an have no worries and warranty.

This. I'd love to have a backup, my trucks got 2 ticking time bombs between the 5speed and all stock 10 bolt. That's why I've been looking at a NNBS Z71 extended cab for a DD. That and I'd like a 4x4, and some power options for once

Im happy I have my dd now since I don't have to be in a hurry to fix up the other truck. But once its up and running, it be splitting time dd'ing.

    Nice thread OP!

I will daily drive mine when I get it back, granted my commute is mostly local, but I will still drive it to all the races and across country on road trips.

Oh and its also about hour drive to the weekly truck meets and Mexico racing.

Forged 6.2, Turbo, Cam, Intake, Meth, Etc.

Mine's a dd/track truck. Lt's, ORY, FLT LVL2 trans, cam, 4.11's, tune, intake Hotchkis TVS 2/4 drop. I drive it 130 miles to the track, beat on it then drive it home. MPG's isn't quite there, but it's 10/10 for reliability. 13.6 @ 97 mph. Isn't extremely fast but it's fun.

I could the keys to my grandma and tell her to drive to california and pick up a car trailer with a race car on the way back and never worry about it. Ice cold a/c, bad ass stereo system, all the good stuff a rcsb can have. I went as fast as 11.50s while my truck was a daily, towed race car's to tracks all over the state and got 20mpg while driving it during the week. Nothing happened to the truck I just decided I wanted something quiet and that got a little better fuel mileage to drive during the week. Now, I've kinda fallin in love with my truck all over again lol By the time the weekend rolls around, I'm ready to jump in it, take it to the car wash and then go cruise around with my ol lady lookin for races.

As said, I could daily drive mine still but after building a motor and a badass tranny and all the other good stuff it takes to make a 4500# truck fast, I have to take a step back and realize that I have a crap load of money in this thing and I want to enjoy it for a long time. Miles create wear, wear creates problems, problems = $$$
    Good point lol
