Geico wanted to rape me on insurance. I went with statefarm cuz it was about $60 less per month. And I have a clean driving record. Statefarm is a lot more lenient with mods and such. They said I could mod the frame and it wouldn't void my coverage!

I have Statefarm as well. They are very good about giving decent rates and being lenient towards modifications and upgrades. They cover both my vehicles.

Statefarm here also! Full coverage. I take pictures of things I have added on the truck, and they replace it if lost or damaged. IE stereo equipment, tint, and tools that might have been stolen in the truck as well.

Amica here. Consistently rated the best insurance (other than USAA - open only to military & family) year after year. It's not just about price (although they beat everything else we could find), it's also whether or not they're going to cover you when you get in a wreck without a lot of hassle, etc.

check some little places, i have westfield/farmers insurance that i get through a independent agent, they insured me when my old company dropped me with out telling me, that was over 10 years ago and no one else would even talk to me. i pay $112/month for full coverage to the note of over 30k on the avalanche and full coverage on my gtp & 1966 dodge truck. my agent is awesome, she will call me from time to time and tell me she ran my coverage to see if she could help me out & just needs my consent to change things & save me $$$.

State Farm for about 15 years.

Progressive and Geico are for those with records or no other way. Just wait and see what those two do to you if you have an issue. I know first hand having to deal with the adjusters on theft, some crash, and all lightning strikes.

I see the can can of worm I'm about to open... but oh well... I currently work for Geico. Have for about 4 years now. The performance mods part, correct, we won't insure them and/or drop a vehicle with them. That being said, most auto insurers are the same. Remember, if you have a local agent they make commission on what you pay so telling you your mods are covered means they keep your money. I would get in writing from ANY company that sc/turbo, cam, heads, anything performance that you mod is covered. In most cases it won't be and all you'll have as proof is "but he/she told me..." Not saying all won't, just most. In most cases you'll have to get custom insurance to cover it. Just don't want to see any of you guys get hosed if something happens to your ride.
