ZO6 Cam

I know someone that has a ZO6 Vette and they put a new cam in and i might have chance to get it for very little or nothing. Ive heard you guys talk about Z06 cams in the truck motors so i was wondering if it fits right in to the 5.3 truck motor if i get all the new rods and spring, and of course get it tuned for it.

Perfect fit. I didnt even change my rods, although I plan to, get 7.435" or 7.425" length. You will need the springs though.

So im guessin i should go for it, whats the install like or about how much does it run somewhere if i find a good shop, was there a noticable diff in power w/ the tune

its a nice stock replacement cam... some dont like it cause in their 4x4&#39;s they lose low end... then you need a 2600 stall and its a perfect combo.. thats the one reason i passed on the z06cam. If you do get one, try to find a 01 model cam. It has a tad lower LSA for a little better low end

its a bunch of 210/218 cams for sale lately.. ill have mine for sale in a month or so im sure. 220/220 is going in

Yea I got a Z06 cam in my 4.8 I love it. Its so fast it feels like my face is peeling off. I just had this guy in a Hemi ram try to race me. what a JOKE before the cam he could have taken me but after the cam and tune he was no prob. I hate those HEMIs there so over rated.

Sounds good to me because im not trying to build a full on race truck, just have that extra pull when i need to smoke a dodge or two, im with you about those anooying people with hemi&#39;s, i have a buddy who has one and he would swear it was jesus i think, but ill let yall know if i get ahold of it and go from there

I&#39;ve always wondered how this cam would work in a 4.8. The 4.8&#39;s have a pretty good top end after they are tuned, and I always wondered what the z06 cam would be like in it after seeing what it did to my heavy ass truck with a 5.3L.

Yea my 4.8 is nice after the cam. Ask that guy if he would take ole Jesus to the track with you some time and show him what the 5.3s got. Id love to see the look on his face when you take him by 3 or 4 cars&#33;
