Yea that's what I heard too. I'm new to the pistol world so it's all new to me. Also heard to break them in with no oil

Love those old Lee-Enfields. There is practically one behind every farmhouse door around here. Hell the Canadian military still carries them way way way up north, only service rifle that'll still function in that much cold. They're in every oilpatch, mining or logging camp, tucked behind the seat of hundreds of bush planes. Everywhere up north. They may not have a phone, but they have that old .303. I'm still looking for one I really like, been through a few.

The Kimber is in another league. Had a friend that bought a new Kimber .40 then sent it off for another $1200 of tightening. They're not that tight new. Have another friend that bought a junky brand 1911 copy (despite being a Marine in Vietnam) and it's a suck show even after a few hundred rounds. Think it was a Springfield and they made 1911's for the government for WWII when Colt couldn't keep up, right?
Kimber is good for an entry level 1911 but no where near quality of the top dogs out there. Wilson combat, Les Baer, Night Hawk arms those are quality 1911's

What are some good hi capacity 1911's? I like the para ordnance big hawg but it seems to be the one i keep running into when i look. I've heard kimber makes one but havent found it yet. I am also not referring to the extended mag hi-cap, i am talking about the guns capable of the double stack clips or the like.
