Y'all are gunna laugh, but hey it worked!

FINALLY got my built transmission in this weekend. To make a long story short It took three attempts to get it right. First time, didn't get the dipstick tube in, second, verter wasn't fully seated, third, went it like a charm! I thought i messed up the pump since the verter wasn't fully seated and i had it pretty much all bolted down tight from bellhousing to block. I got REALLY lucky it didn't do any damage.

Anyways, when i was taking the tranny out a few weeks ago, i had to cut the y pipe because i couldn't get one of the manifold nuts loose. Had everything put back together yesterday afternoon, but with no welder or exhaust shop open i was kinda stuck. Called a buddy of mine to see if he could weld it. He had a better idea for a temporary fix.

Materials list: Aluminum drink can(Coke, Beer, Tea, whatever you want) and two hose clamps.

Results: An 80 mile drive back to school and not a trace of an audible exhaust leak! Need to get it welded up this week at a shop

Big thanks to Built408(Chase) for building a 65E and Circle-D for a badass converter!

Hell yeah man, great story, love it.

When you go in to the muffler shop just act like you need some exhaust work done and that another shop worked on it, but you think it's leaking a little.

Haha don't tell them about the can being there and that you did it.

Basically like a band clamp. Only difference is the material and that the can isnt attached to the clamp itself.
