    Thanks for the welcomes!!! That sounds cool RPM, I know I'll be working but not sure how late so keeping fingers crossed. I've got my old project truck that never materialized so I think I've finally decided I'm gonna part it out to fund my 5.3L swap, I should be able to get $1500 out of it, then I'm gonna try to pick up a motor from CL to avoid shipping but I can get one from LKQ, but then you have to find all the acc's and harness which I know all that little stuff will eat up my whole budget.
    A lot of rappers are from around here, "OH YEAH!"

    I need to read the for sale rules and see, maybe I can put the old project truck for sale and some other soul may want to do the LSx swap???

    In the pics I put up here I had the 17" polished Yukon denali wheels with the 265/70 17s I think, then the 23"s in the avatar pic which lasted a week, I hated the ride. I traded for some 5 spoke chrome 20"s which I haven't a picture of at the moment. I also sold the bed-cover, functionally it was great but I didn't like that it looked to raise the rear profile of the truck so I got rid of it. I got the 17" Yukon wheels from CL for $80, man do I miss those!!! It came with the chrome-clad steel 17" which I really didn't like.

    Here's a pic I used GIMP2 on, I'm not very good with it, just messing around.

    i see a lot of motors on CL, just have to check often & be ready to jump, LOL!!!
    that's where i found my LS1.
    what kind of other truck do you have for sale?

    It's kinda a long story, it's a 1996 Chevy Silverado 1500 2wd, started life as a 5.0L and my brother bought it and paid a "mechanic" to put in a 350 (carb'ed). The "mechanic" put in the 350 with std rings when it was .005 or .010 bored and it burned all the oil in the crankcase and was toast. My brother passed and I tried to put the 5.0L back in but the harness was hacked like crazy so I put a carb'ed intake on the 305 and after it was running I dropped the aircleaner stud in the intake roasting #6, and #8 pistons and cylinder walls so I junked that motor. Then I considered the LSx but I was afraid, for all I knew was carb's and at the time gas was $4/gal so I got a 2000 4.3L, put on a 4 bbl intake with a hei distributor, and it runs but I haven't messed with it b/c they started cracking down on emissions so I figured it would be pointless. So I've kinda been clinging to the idea that I'd do the LSx swap but I'm sick of looking at it, it needs work. I think it's be worth more in parts. It's ext. cab step-side.
