I have a yoke, i also have the 2000 style crossmember that you can have, its the easy one to fab for the 80, flexplate shouldnt matter mine is stock, and ill even throw in a steel braided lokar flexible 80 dipstick kit.

G i take it this is a completely stock 80E?
thinking here, i have my lq9 shortblock still and a set of 20" grey torque thrust II's with very good tires on them..
