Yeah, I figured the prices were a bit different when I tried to look them up. Its all good, just looking for idea's. Kinda bummed that the shorty's won't do much and long tubes are MUCH better, but the Pace Setters are only $300 which I am fine with.

Anyone else have some recommendations?? I am thinking headers and exhaust redo first. Thinking long tubes and a y pipe 3" or true dual. Has anyone put some mufflers on the truck that were not loud as a nascar? I like the rumble but damn these engines are like a drag car! Lol

4.88s are just flat out awesome.. "Flyin Low" a woman in my hometown has fabbed 9" with like 4.86s fords version of 4.88s and on gears, built trans, full boltons and mild tune I seen her go 9.0s in the 1/8th which is awesome especially for ext cab. I seen a cammed 5.3 rcsb not even break 8.99s in 1/8... Hes a member here.. Shes not but im trying to bring her aboard... She was featured in truckin once ill find the ad...

I bet in that big ass truck it feels light with those gears huh BuiltZ71?

if your hunting low end power, long tubes will dissapoint you...mid rpms up are impressive. for the amount of a gear swap you can throw a stall in and see how you like that. it will let you go past the low rpm weakness. you can pick up a used stall for 400-600 all day. you will save labor and toss it in yourself in day. dont throw money at it.

x2 what elcd said about headers, if you do gears make it a big jump(IMO) i just went 3.73 to 4.30 not that big of diff. now if you did gears and stall i think you'd be golden.
