To me, it seems that engine is to rotary what 2 strokes are to 4 strokes. Maybe in a lawnmower or something you typically measure in CC's. Hell if you can turbo it, Mic will buy it

It is an interesting idea! I can see some possible flaws in the design but a real clean sheet of paper approach to the ICE. It is neat that instead of acting against the cylinder head it acts against the piston in front of it to make power.

I contacted these guys a couple years ago (looking to work with them) and this is the reply I got.

Let me tell you the history of AL. I met Raphial in the year 2000. He was an inventor almost bankrupt, I was a small time investor. Through a friend of mine we met, he presented Angel Arms technology. While not too interested in the Gun business, I noticed that his thinking is quite revolutionary. During the visit, he also mentioned that he had other inventions including a new engine. That kind of intrigued me, because to me, and engine development takes hundreds of R&D people and a lot of money.
Anyway, I brought him $xxx, then $xxx, then $xxx subsequently.
Although some money was spent to renovate his house and pay off his debts, the initial pool of money was spent all right to build the first prototype.(This is the same prototype we used to demonstrate the air motoring.)

Since it has manufacturing deficiency of leakage (due to machine and human mistakes), we could not run that with fuel after numerous attempts. Then we ran out of money for about two years. Most people/companies are excited but would not put $$$ before seeing that it runs with fuel. In 2005, we landed another investor who loaned us $xxx. We hired more people and now I was also working full time with Angel Labs.

However, we met problems...we were building the second prototype, but Raphial started fancy with different ideas, although the loan was specifically for finishing up the engine. Second prototype was built but without his full attention, it also have a deficiency. Instead of fixing the first and second protos to test/run the engine, Raphial started working on air motoring, then ventured into air car. After cautioning/persuading him many times, I had to go along and support the project. He finally got the car to run about 40+ mph using batteries and the MYT Engine, but then we ran out of money again. During these years, I knew that he was spending a lot of money for his personal use but then after we ran out, I found out that he had bought four new motorcycles (Harley, Yamaha, Ducatti, etc.), and three brand-new cars including a Dodge Viper. Some of them, he was even hiding from me. I had to help him sell those so that he could survive while we kept contacting investors.

In 2006, using the last few thousands of dollars, we attended the auto shows in Vegas and LA. Raphial was so confident that showing the engine to many people will fetch the money immediately. But again, no matter how many potential investors I brought, they became skeptical, especially when Raphial was talking about a car running using only the air but failed to show them it runs with a fuel.

In 2007, I finally realized that even though Raphial is a very brilliant inventor, we can not make this mission a success if I let him manage the $$$ (where we spend the money). The focus is one and misuse is the other. I started searching for other inventors and investors to support my vision. I met an inventor from Finland (I will call him JO for now), and an investor called L among others. And as I said before, we are very close to get the funds through L, and JO will join us to head the R&D as our CTO.

JO is very much like Raphial... brilliant inventor.... who can calculate better than I (I have a Ph D degree in E.E. but I am not an inventor, but a businessman.), quite different from Raphial, who once asked me, "Is 4 * 8/n the same as 8 * 4/n ?" JO also has numerous inventions like Raphial... engine, automobile, airplane, VTOL, etc....
I am not betting on JO and other inventors we bring compared to Angel Labs which has to rely solely on Raphial due to the number of inventions plus his big ego.

What you have to know is the fact (not known to people in the world yet) that the MYT Engine is NOT the ultimate engine technology. In fact, both Raphial and JO have better engine inventions. I used plural because the number is several.

The organization that we will be building is for brilliant inventors. If you are not the top level inventor, you may be qualified to become technical staff with your experience and knowledge, and it always helps to put your own ideas small or big to test. I have seen big obstacles modern day inventors face. Ridiculously high patent fees, NIH syndrome, scams,... all coming from outside, then manage the project, money, and people, etc., coming from inside. The organization will help inventors so that they can just have fun inventing, and get rewarded. Everyone in the organization will get the cut of the income from the product commercialized while one is employed. The share is through the lifetime of the products. The inventor gets the highest cut, his direct staffs, general staffs, then other employees, in that order, but everyone.

Anyway, you have the picture. I know the power of getting publicity as you pointed out. Back in 2005, 2006, I even put Raphial into Korean TV and Filipino TV. You can get the whole world excited, but you have to do your own job of completing the produce development. That includes all the necessary engineering work, numerous tests, improvements, and finally QA to make sure the quality is maintained to keep the buyers happy throughout the use of the products.

After several emails back and forth, they just disappeared and I havent been able to contact them for quite a while now.

You got more than I did, I emailed them last winter and still have heard nothing. I do think that with some legitimate r&d time, as well as much more careful craftsmanship and engineering that engine could be a new power-plant for vehicles, as it does maximize combustion much more efficiently then a standard design engine.
