I normally don't either. I do know that its about $.30 cheaper where I work so I try to fill up down there as often as possible.

the problem with gas prices is we see these huge jumps in price that seem to hang around for a few months then all of a sudden they drop $.50 or so and everyone gets all happy that gas prices are down but what you forget is that $3.XX a gallon is still way to much and so is $2.xx a gallon, i can remember filling up my 4 wheeler when i was 16 for under $5.00 and im only 22 now and it'd cost me over $10.00... It's all a huge mind game that repeats over and over. before you know it gas prices will be $5.00 a gallon and we will be all excited when it drops to $4.50... just aint right. oh and 91 octane here in maine is still right around $4.00 a gallon. again i'm with many where i just put gas in and forget the price because i gotta get to work somehow...

I know what you saying. I remember when my sister started driving i was about 12 and gas was like 87cents a gallon. When i started driving 8 years later it was 2.30 a gallon. Ive been around the oilfield my whole life and worked in the field since just after high school. Tapping into the reserves will drop the price for now but will make it worse in the long run. Im no expert by any means but woould be willing to bet this will be the outcome

Everyone thinks that its all just profit for the oil companies. Do you have any idea what it cost to drill a deep water well these days. Try 50 million dollar price tag on for size. The overhead is more money than you can fathom. Vendors make the price go up just as much as anything else. I just had to sign a purchase order for my printer cartridges. 2,889.00. that was for 40 cartridges. LOL Don't get me wrong they still make huge sums of money. But they wouldn't be doing it if there wasn't.

Exactly. I know most wont know what im talking about, but we have stuffing box rubbers on the wells to seal the well will pumping. And when th eprice of oil skyed a few years back they went to almost 10 bucks a piece and most of our wells take 5 of them. Price of oil dropped but parts and supplies didnt.

You know gas is way over priced when the share holders are making billions.
