Installed and drove around about 10 miles of cruising at 50 mph or so. Temps never got over 142. Seemed to stick at around 138. I wish I would have done AN lines and compression fittings, but I'm going to be out of town working next week and wanted to get this thing on. I may go back and do it that way later. I took out the stock cooler and simply replaced it with the 40k.

    Mock up.

Thin coat of flat black to hide it.

    Finished product.

And yes, I know it's ugly/dirty. I drive 200 miles of gravel and dirt roads a week. If I clean it now, it'll be like this again in a week.

Just a little update after driving. Yesterday it was 102 here and driving 20 miles to town at 75 mph, then around town for 10-15 minutes, it never saw over 155*. Cruising at 75 the temps were at 142*.

Last night, coming home at 1:30 am, it was around 84* outside and the trans sat at 127* all the way home. I'm impressed and very happy with the functionality.

140degs? Lol. Something must be wrong with your gauge because there isn't one truck I've been in that cruises at 140degs from the factory.
Even my stock caddy cruising for 2hrs going to Laredo run a solid 187degs with cruise control on.

The trans fluid flows thru the stock radiator trans cooler and that water is 200degs. No way it's coming out and back into the trans at 140degs.
    Even if u have a 160stat.

U must have the only truck that runs 140degs trans temp from the factory.

This was after the 40k Allen. Not stock cooler. I was seeing 175-185 with the factory cooler. I'll put my HPT on it and scan some logs if you'd like.
