I'm not sure why he is being a dick Any year will work. All the accesories will work. The differences will be whether the tb is drive by wire or cable, and whether the 6.0 you get has return style or returnless style fuel rails. And you'll need a 6.0 flex plate.

So if those things are different just take your intake, rails, and tb off the 4.8, get new intake gaskets and put it on the 6.0.

He's not being a dick, this question is just asked and answered every day.
And no, every year won't work. The long shaft 99-00 LQ4 won't work with a 4L60e.
OP, all you need is a 01-06 longblock. All your accessories and intake, injectors, TB etc. will fit. PCM is the same, just get a tune.
Seriously though, hit up the search button and most if not all of your questions will be answered.

That's all that needed to be said. First impressions last a lifetime. BTW thank you for correcting me for the 99-00. I did not know that.

    What's a long shaft LQ4 and why won't it work with a 60e?

It just gets old. This is literally an everyday thing and you know it. It's just proper forum etiquette to read the stickies, especially when they are so blatantly obvious.

The 99-00 had a longer crank snout that is a pain in the ass to deal with. I'm wanting to say its .5"-1" longer than the later ones and requires 99-00 trans parts to make work. Just a hassle that isn't worth dealing with, especially when the newer 6.0s have better heads anyway.
