    They don't, they are closer to 4700lbs.

    The ssr wieghs 4700 lbs that was prior to 05, when they had the 5'7 in 05 they switched to a 6.0 and the first year they offered the 6 speed, i dont think think the motor added 1300#s def not the 6 speed.

    Just put mine on my nieghbors scale this morning 4380. With out me in it.Thats about what I thought it would be.

    Curb Weight is the actual weight of the truck without any passengers or cargo in it. It’s the base weight that is used in subtraction to calculate the total weight of the vehicle with passengers and cargo. (4700)

    Gross Vehicle Weight is the total weight of the loaded vehicle. This includes the vehicle itself and the cargo that is loaded within that vehicle. (6050)
