    So can I run the 4.10's outback and leave front alone? Just don't use 4wd on any hard surface.

    im not sure how that would work, even if all 4 wheels are spinning the computer would still see 2 different speeds for the front and back

    I would pull front shaft if you're going to only do the rear, to be on safe side.


    Talk to ron (he's one of our vendors) GREAT prices on gears/true-tracs. Labor however, is lil more money.

    You could try junkyard searching for a 4.10 equipped front diff from a Z71, save some money that way.
