I made the switch from 323 to 373 and there was a huge difference out of the hole. Worth it big time if you do a lot of racing from a dead stop. But honestly if I could go back I woulda went 342 becuz I never run from a stop.. Always a 30 roll or so... 323 were better gas mileage slower from a stop but I loved them if I was going and running someone on the highway. Hope this helps. Also the 373 in the quarter gave me almost a whole second. So no doubt worth it for the track.

I'll keep that in mind about the gears. I mainly plan to keep this a "family" vehicle as I already have my 68 as my hot rod or my toy. I would just like to have it run better that the rest of the stockers out there.
