I'm gonna use a couple stainless zipties to run the wire down the shifter then thru the boot, under the vinyl crap and up under the dash.

that won't look right with the wires strapped to the shifter, i thought you could run them inside the shifter.

Ugh I know I don't like it. I'm considering getting a groove machined in the shifter and a little cover to go along it. At least the speaker wire doesn't stand out completely, and I'm hoping the steel zip ties won't either.

could you use the stock shifter and just change the knob out, run the wires inside it and under the boot drill another hole? just an idea?

Ok just throwing this out there. Take your 5.3 cam when u pull it. Cut it to length. Use some all thread etc. Drill a hole for this shift knob and run this wire down the middle....... What I'm getting at is make a camshaft the shifter
