All bolt ons are a plus. If she can keep her right foot off the pedal gears up to a 4.10 would help the motor out from lugging. Do those and intake and exhaust etc and get a spot on tune. With the same stuff on a 5.3 I was getting 21 or better...

The goal i think is to get just 3ish mpg improvement I will be starting with an Ebay or spectra CAI, a tune, and go from there. I think next would be efans then maybe Speed daddy longtubes followed by gears. I should see the RPO codes thursday so I will know what is in there now and that may affect whether gears priority moves up. What would be considered optimum gears considering she is mostly on the freeway cruising at about 75mph most of the time and sees only some stop and go? I figure 3.90's? Also I know not to expect too much out of this and I know it will cost more to mod it than she will save, but the plus side is some of this stuff is go fast fun stuff for when I drive it hahaha I figure maybe she will catch some of the hp in her blood and maybe we will be talking turbos instead of CAI's in the future! For now the excuse of MPG is good enough for her just wanna deliver on what I promise.

Well sounds like its not outta the question to get 20mpg so I guess that will be the target. I figure if I don't get it the truck will still be more fun to drive So it will be worth it. Here's the budget so far.
Ebay CAI-$80(nice bc never have to replace air filter again also money saver)
Tune-$98-300(depends on who ends up doing it.......a friend or Casey or Nelson or someone else)
Exhaust-free(I have a magnaflow ready to go in)
    Trick Efans-250
    Speed daddy LT's-275
    Gears- 150

i figure at those kinda prices for a little fun and maybe some gas savings its worth it. Once again shooting for 20mpg here.

You definitely don't want to put that magnaflow on her truck...it will be too loud for her I think.
