    what could it be?

Sometimes when im driving down the road and rull into it with the tranny in the 3rd gear position, it will take off good but sometimes after i let off it will stay almost in like a neutral state and i can give it alittle gas and the motor will rev up and nuthing then it will kick back down into gear? doent happen when its in the drive setting tho? and also the other day i had it in 2nd and went from backing out of a parking space gave it gas and the rpms and stuff went up and the truck slowly crept forward and the rpms were up there almost like it was slipping or something? any ideas? thanks guys

Does your battery light come on or your voltage drop low? My stock 8gauge wit melted the red little positive jumper box on the truck and made it not charge. It didn't make the truck die tho. Alternator may be going too not sure.

A lot of things could be wrong. Could be the solenoid or what you could be feeling is the converter locking and unlocking in 3rd. I couldn't tell you with out more info really. Mine will take awhile to come out of 3rd when I put it in drive on the highway. Could be something as simple as a faulty brake switch making the converter unlock. I don't know what stall you have but my converter is loose enough to where it almost sounds like it goes to neutral right when it unlocks. Pull the pan and check for any clutch material in the bottom. If it only does it sometimes and you say it feels like it goes back into gear I don't really think it would be slipping. If it is slipping It wouldn't be doin that long before the 3-4 pack turns to a crispy critter.
