I may have to just do that. I hate to get on the bandwagon though.

damnyankee had a vid of borla pro xs mufflers, sounded good. i also have a borla pro xs muffler on my 99 silv. just as loud as magnaflows but a different tone. sounds good, but would sound alot better on your truck with LTs, no cats, 3.5" pipe.

I've been trying to stay away from Magnaflow in general because it seems like EVERYONE has one. I tend to try to take the road less travelled on things like this. I had a Super44 Flowmaster on my 5.3 and loved the sound but Flowmasters tend to be restrictive and resonate in the cab, which is why I'm looking for something a little more free flowing. If I can get this Spintech sold for a decent price (it has like 200 miles on it) I would buy the 18" Magnaflow right now.[/QUOTE]

I run 2 3" in/out Super 44 Flowmaster mufflers w/ 3" dual pipes dumped at the back of the mufflers b4 the diff. also w/ 5.3. You say their restrictive, I bought them b/c I thought they were free flowing. How restrictive are they?

Any chambered muffler such as the Flowmasters are more restrictive than a straight through design.

Oh OK, thanks. That does make sense, I didn't know the Magnaflow were a straight through design. Now I see what the debate is between the 2. I hope the flows aren't too restrictive I sure do love the sound from the long tubes, no cats and 3" duals.

I'm sure with duals you're fine.
