Do you guys think this cam is a little too radical for DD? My motor is 9.5:1, now has pacesetter longtubes, 3" offroad y pipe, stock intake manifold. Oh and of course 3600 stall and 373's.

i dont think thats a good match for u at all. way too much duration for a dd imo. you would need more stall, deeper gears, after market intake, etc. so basically it wouldnt really be a dd setup anymore. its a 5.3 right?
06ccsb, cammed, stalled, geared
I wouldn't if I were you, especially if its for a 5.3.
Sorry, it's a 5.7. I liked it because of the low lift and choppy idle, and obvously the price. But yeah that is a butt load of duration.

Not only that, but thumper cams have never proven there worth...most of them under perform.

i would look into the lsr lobe cams from comp imo
Ok I won't be ordering that cam then. Thanks for the advice guys.
What about the GMPP ASA cam? I've heard from several guys who run these that they are a great off the shelf cam that sounds nasty at idle and performs even better. Even in a 5.3, 3200 + stall and 3.73:1 + combo's.

I got impatient and bought a comp xr275hr- it's 222 224 .566 .568 112. Got it for 349.00 shipped plus a free T-shirt yay! I sure hope being impulsive didn't bite me in the ass! I also got the lunati dual spring kit.
